Lets build this, together.
Welcome to The Village, we can’t wait to meet you.
Some things are too perfectly orchestrated to be coincidence.
For months, I searched for a building —and eventually, I surrendered it to God, trusting that if this was His plan, He would open the right door in His timing.
One afternoon at the jiu jitsu gym on 1488 — a place I visit multiple times a week — I walked around back and noticed two warehouses I had somehow overlooked for months. Through the weeds, there it was: a small “For Sale” sign with a phone number.
That call led to the beginning of a beautiful friendship with the owners — a God-fearing family who embody the very heart of Old Magnolia. The day before I called, she had placed that sign and prayed over it, asking God to bring the right person — someone who would honor what her father built.
When I walked the building that night, right in the middle of what we hope will be the conditioning space, sat an old bike. One my brother would have loved.
My brother passed away at 18. He loved bikes, community, and God. He dreamed of restoring spaces like this — building something meaningful with his hands and bringing people together. He never got the chance. But I do.
This isn’t just a gym. It’s a place for our community here in Old Magnolia - where parents don’t have to choose between caring for themselves and caring for their children. With onsite childcare, we’re removing the barrier and replacing it with encouragement — inviting the whole family to come, to belong, and to grow together.
This building is a second chance. A tribute. A promise. A place to honor those who are now home with Jesus, while breathing life back into something that still has purpose. A chance to build what every one of us in this city needs— a place to come to do hard things, to worship the Lord, to take back control of our lives, to get out of pain and to become the version of ourselves we want to be - not just for us— but for our FAMILY.
This isn’t about fitness alone. It’s about stewardship. Restoration. Faith. And Community.
The Village Fit Co. exists because God brought the right people together at the right time. And we know this to be true: without Him — and without this community — this space will not be built. We’re moving forward with open hands, trusting His plan completely.
Our ask is simple:
If God has laid this on your heart, join us. Not for a business, but for the people. Not for profit, but for purpose.
We’re not building a gym. We’re building a village — the one so many of us have been missing — a place where families grow stronger together, just as we were always meant to.
